Kyloe House Secure Children’s Home
At Kyloe House we provide a stable environment for young people to achieve positive well-being. The service achieves this through safe consistent care; giving young people opportunities to develop to their full potential.
Kyloe House is located in Stannington, close to the historic market town of Morpeth, Northumberland. Kyloe House is a purpose built home which provides secure placements for up to 12 young people of both sexes within the age range of 10 to 17 years on admission. The unit accommodates young people on a welfare basis.
Kyloe House incorporates the principles of Every Child Matters and the 5 Outcomes of Every Child Matters, into the young people’s daily lives. A highly trained staff team uses a process of reward for positive behaviour, which encourages the young people to make positive choices towards their own personal development. The young people residing in Kyloe House are often amongst the most troubled in the country and will often display difficult and challenging behaviour. Many of the young people will have experienced rejection, significant loss or change, emotional, physical or sexual abuse.
