Clayfields House provides 24/7 secure care, education, programme work and treatment for up to 20 young people aged between 10 and 18 years of age. Young people are placed with us either on criminal grounds in terms of remand or sentence or, on welfare grounds because of high level risks to themselves.  Children residing with us have highly complex needs including chronic self-harm and suicidal ideation, substance misuse and trauma. The children we work with are some of the most vulnerable and challenging children in the country, and we believe that positive change is possible for all of the children we work with.

You will be a suitably experienced and qualified social work practitioner and will have extensive experience of managing safeguarding and quality assurance activities. The role will work closely with the Service and Deputy Service Manager’s who are our Strategic Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) and will work alongside other senior and middle leaders as a deputy designated safeguarding lead (DDSL) to ensure our young people are kept safe, through your proactive policies, improved practices and activities, to ensure children and young people are kept safe within this service and that we work with other key stakeholders to ensure they are appropriately notified of significant events.
